Announcement Regarding the June 2007 CCPP Budwood Cut

The CCPP had scheduled to have the June 2007 budwood distribution begin on the week of June 11th. However, due to the recent tristeza findings in the Foundation Blocks the budwood distribution for June of 2007 will take place from the trees of the Protected Foundation Block (screen house). The in-ground trees are already registered and quality and quantity of budwood is good. The potted trees are currently in registration and young vegetative growth just started to harden.

In order to complete the registration process, improve quality of budwood, and give the industry adequate time to review the new budwood list and place orders we have moved the budwood distribution in the week of June 25th. Budwood letters will be sent out June 1st and the ordering deadline will be June 21st. Budwood will be shipped the week of July 2nd or sooner.

The CCPP will do its best to cover the orders but growth of the trees and budwood condition will dictate the final volume of budwood distributed.
